We’re excited to announce an official grid-wide Bloodlines Event – The Bloodlines 17th Anniversary Gallery Tour and Party!

As the texture collecting has really ramped up lately (and we’ve just released the new Reaper Curator achievement), we decided to make this grid-wide event a Gallery Tour. This means you’re encouraged to decorate your Haunt location in a way that shows off you or your family’s collection of Bloodlines Rares*, to the envy of all those who visit!

The event starts now and runs through Saturday May 10th, when we’ll announce the winners at our Anniversary Party. The party will be one of our most epic, running from 11am to 7pm SL, and there’ll be live DJs, raffles, Best Attire giveaways, and more!

Starting today, we’ll be connecting participating Haunts via the website and the HUDs, so you can easily travel from event to event, while discovering new Bloodlines-friendly locations. Bloodlines judges will be visiting participating locations to help with the final choosing of the top Haunts.

For Haunt owners, this event means a chance to raise awareness of your clan land, club, bar, or RP area. The Anniversary Gallery Tour will provide an influx of new visitors, as well as give you a chance to network with other Bloodlines friendly locations. Players will be able to vote on their favorite Haunts up until Thursday May 8th, when voting will close so we have enough time to make final judgements before the party.

To vote on your favorite Haunts, all you need to do is press the ‘Vote’ link next to the 17-year anniversary icon on the profile of participating haunts. These tallied votes will be combined with voting by the judges to determine the winners.

*Although this is a Gallery Tour and we encourage you to display your rare textures, your space doesn’t have to be a bona fide gallery – it could be a dungeon or a room in your house, or any place you like to show off your collection. Also, to win you don’t necessarily need to have the largest collection of Rares – judging will include looking at the style and atmosphere of the place, organization, etc.

Prizes:

***For the first time ever, the prize winners will have a picture of their haunt immortalized on the prize container texture! The three Gold winners will be on one texture, and the silver honorable mentions together on another.

• 1st Place Winner: 100L equivalent container of your choice + Gold Crown rare texture + Banner on Bloodlines Homepage for a week following the event.
• 2nd Place Winner: (3) 20L equivalent containers of your choice + Gold Crown rare texture + Banner on Bloodlines Homepage for a week following the event.
• 3rd Place Winner: (2) 20L equivalent containers of your choice + Gold Crown rare texture + Banner on Bloodlines Homepage for a week following the event.
• 7 Honorable Mentions: (1) 20L equivalent container of your choice + Silver Crown rare texture
• Gallery Tour Participation Rare: Given to anyone who opted-in their location to the event, awarded at the end of the month (limit one per avatar).

Getting involved is simple:

• Location Owners – If you already have a Haunt, just log into your profile, Edit Haunts, and opt-in via the radio button for the 12th Anniversary Event. Make sure to use the Haunt Events calendar to schedule specific times for your events. We’re keeping the theme wide open – as long as your space is Bloodlines (or Legends) themed in some way, we’re excited to check it out!
• Bloodlines players – The 17th Anniversary Event will automatically generate locations in your HUD, under the Haunt button. We’ll also make it clear on the website which locations are participating, so you should be able to easily find the next great location to visit!

Dates to Remember:

• April 14th through May 8th – Building, displaying, and voting on Haunt locations.
• May 10th – Anniversary Party from 11-7 SL, Winners Announced, Prizes Given.
