We’re excited to announce the next official grid-wide Bloodlines Event – The Haunted Tour 2021! It will start today, October 8th and run to October 24th. We are changing the rules and prizes a little this time – because we are giving away a combined total of 15,000$L worth of Metrics to the top winners! So we want to see your best decorating! Please see the end of the post for guidelines if you want a chance to win.

The Haunted Tour is an event for people who wish to show off their haunted houses, dungeons, clubs and bars for the spooky holiday ahead.  Anyone owning a Bloodlines Haunt can opt-in and anyone with a HUD will be able to participate in the tour.

What specifically does this mean for Bloodlines players? It means during that time we’ll be connecting participating Haunts up via the website and the HUDs, so that you can easily travel from haunted location to haunted location, and meet up with people while discovering new Bloodlines-friendly places. (If you need to acquire a Haunt you can visit our stores here).

For Haunt owners, this event means a chance to get your location on the map! The Haunted Tour will provide an influx of new visitors, as well as give you a chance to network with other Bloodlines friendly locations. Players will be able to vote on their favorite Haunts, and prizes will be awarded at the end. Mars Bracken, Lyle Maeterlinck, Liquid Designs Resident and other officials will be visiting participating locations to help with the final judging of the top locations, and we hope to see you there!

Voting will start in a few days and run until October 24th. During that time, all you need to do to vote is press the ‘Vote’ link next to the Haunted Tour icon on the profile of participating haunts.

Prizes (Awarded at the end of the Tour):

1st Place Winner: 100L of the metric of your choice + Gold Crown rare texture + Banner on Bloodlines Homepage for a week following the event

2nd Place Winner: 60L of the metric of your choice + Gold Crown rare texture + Banner on Bloodlines Homepage for a week following the event

3rd Place Winner: 40L of the metric of your choice + Gold Crown rare texture + Banner on Bloodlines Homepage for a week following the event

5 Honorable Mentions: 20L of  the metric of your choice + Silver Crown rare texture

Haunted Tour Participation Rare: Given to anyone who opted-in their location to the event. (Limit one per avatar)

Getting involved is simple:

Location Owners – If you already have a Haunt, just log into your profile, Edit Haunts, and opt-in via the radio button for the Haunted Tour Event. Make sure to use the Haunt Events calendar to schedule specific times for your events.

Bloodlines players – The Haunted Tour will automatically generate locations in your HUD, under the Haunt button. We’ll also make it clear on the website which locations are participating, so you should be able to easily find the next great location to visit!

Rules and Guidelines:

All locations opted-in will receive the Participation Rare at the end of the contest. However, a few things to think about when trying for prizes are:

1. Store Haunts – If your store is decorated and the haunt is part of the decor it will be considered. Non-decorated stores will not be considered for top prizes.
2. Clan Land / Other Haunts – If your family location does not have any event-specific decor, it will not be considered for top prizes.

Judging is subjective and will focus on quality, sticking to the spooky / haunted theme, and also ease of access. If the area you’re looking to share with the Bloodlines community is difficult to find / hard to access from the Haunt landing, that will affect your ability to earn a top prize.

We are pleased to announce the release of Seasons! Here’s how it works:

You will earn points for doing challenges, the points increase a progress bar, and when you reach checkpoints you unlock rewards. Both Bloodlines and Legends activities are included in the challenges. The rewards are a wide mix including but not limited to: Bloodlines Products, Legends Products, Metrics, Resources, Rare Textures and Gift Cards.

The Seasons HUD is available for free in vendors at the landing areas in our regions and we’ll be doing a blast-out delivery to all current Bloodlines players. To be clear, you don’t have to have the HUD on to be earning progress, but you do need to wear it to unlock and claim your rewards.

SEASON PASS

There are plenty of checkpoints and rewards by default, but there are also bonus valuable items hidden behind ‘locked’ checkpoints. These can be unlocked by purchasing a Season Pass, which can be done either with L$ or with Season Pass Tokens which can be earned along the Season path of rewards.

WEBSITE ADDITIONS

Everyone will also have a new progress page linked from their profile where people can track their progress, which rewards they have unlocked, and what their progress is on all of the challenges. The website will also be updated with a new profile section on the right column, one that can be sorted in the profile editor. There is a new Season Guide page here, which will give a broader explanation of some of the aspects of Seasons, as well as list the point-earning challenges for the current season.

REWARD OPTIONS

Certain rewards will have choices, for instance if one of the rewards is a Vial, when you collect it, you choose which kind of vial you want: Blood, Lumen, Human, Ether, or Ichor. Other rewards will have alternatives. For example, say a reward is the coffin, but you already own the coffin, you’ll be given the option to get some metrics instead.

METRIC CACHES & METRIC RESERVES

“Metric Reserves” can be given at various points, and these are metrics that you unlock immediately and can access at Refill Stations.

“Metric Caches” can be given at various points, and these are metrics that you store up and unlock if or when you finally complete the season progress bar.

CURRENT SEASON DURATION

The current season, Season One, will run from noon* on October 6th to midnight on November 30th, 2021.

*As with all of our releases, we do not award retroactive points or achievements. Progress on Seasons will begin tallying from the time of release onward. 

**Please note, the Season Pass is not an in-world delivery, it will show as active on your Bloodlines profile page once you have purchased it.

It’s been a long time since we’ve had office hours for Bloodlines but we’re excited to announce this Monday and Tuesday, you can meet and chat with LiquidDesigns Resident:

We’re happy to announce the release of a new Human / Elder item – “The Human Altar”. Much like the Altars for the other races, this one is used to make sacrifices to deities.

The Altar has texture changes, animated particles and will automatically update with the profile picture of the deity being sacrificed to.

It is now available in our home Human / Elder store and in affiliate vendors.

We’re exuberant to announce the release of a new Elder item – “The Life Extension Pod”. Much like the Vampire Coffin, Angel Chrysalis, Demon Furnace and Lycan Sarcophagus, the Pod is used to refilling oneself and sending Humanity to minions. Recipients of Humanity donations from the Pod can be online or offline.

The Pod has a pose which can be customized with your own animation, as well as an animated sliding glass mechanism and animated bubbles and sounds.

The Life Extension Pod is available now in our home Human / Elder store and in affiliate vendors.
