Bloodlines is having an avatar photo contest! We’ll have a category for each race (including all the hybrids) so there are lots of opportunities to win. These photos will be featured in the banner on our website for each race’s home page!

The contest is free to enter, and you may enter as many times as you like (as long as each photo is different).

How to Enter
1) Take a photo of an avatar (can be yourself or another) of a specific Bloodlines Race. Final dimensions need to be our Website Banner size, so at least 1200 x 300, max 2400 x 600. If you wish, you can submit a photo that is square (1200×1200 min) but make sure that there is a croppable strip appropriate for a banner.
2) Either put the texture in a notecard, along with your name, title of the photo, and the race represented and pass it to LiquidDesigns Resident

– OR –

Submit the photo via the Bloodlines Flickr Photo Contest page. Please name your entry with your avatar and the race represented, or it may not be counted in competition. We recommend using Flickr as your photo won’t suffer SL compression, but it’s up to you. Either way, you may want to periodically check the Flickr page to see what your competitors have been submitting!

Contest Rules
Time: The contest will end on August 31st, 2018.

Judging: Entries will be judged by Mars Bracken, Lyle Maeterlinck and LiquidDesigns Resident

Criteria: Entries will be judged based on the overall image, but some things to consider might be setting/location, lighting, and mood. Photoshopping is of course acceptable. Bloodlines also reserves the right to do slight photoshopping to winners (if necessary) in order to format them for the final banners.

Prizes
– Top Runners Up (number TBD) in each race category will receive Photo Silver texture for one type of container
– 1st Place Winner in each race category will receive Photo Gold texture for one type of container as well as become the banner for the homepage of that race

As part of our ongoing effort to get the sims ready for the RPG Expansion, we’ve updated our Thirst store on Bloodlines East! All the vendors should be working, but if you see any out-of-place prims do let us know.

Aside from the upcoming Angel and Demon refill stations, this concludes the update of the store areas. Next up is a revamp (no pun intended) of the RP areas, in preparation for the RPG Expansion and Quests this Fall.

The 3 new sets of Gacha textures are in the machines as of today!

The machines are still rezzed on each of our sims, so if one set is busy you can try another location:

UPDATE / REMINDER 7.6.18: 

Angel and Demon attacks (both on their respective HUDs and this new Fury HUD) do not yet count towards achievements (Embracer, Enrager, etc.). We do plan on integrating these HUDs and attacks into achievements (as well as creating new specific achievements for Angels and Demons) but for the time being be aware that they do not generally count. An exception is the Determined achievement, which will tally with the new HUDs.

ORIGINAL POST:

We’re happy to announce that we’re updating the Fury HUD to version 1.4 today. The HUD will now be useful for any combination of 2 Bloodlines races (excluding Humans). You can set the race combination in the settings menu, and as long as you have the HUDs / Nexus objects for the appropriate races, the functions should all work great.

We’ll be sending out an auto-update for anyone who currently owns the Fury HUD.

In the process of getting ready for our big Human HUD update coming next month, we’ve updated our Human store on Bloodlines Midland! All the vendors should be working, but if you see any out-of-place prims do let us know.

It was a long night, but the Liquid Designs team managed to get the Angel and Demon races released in the wee hours. Thanks to all the players who patiently waited in the stores, you are real troopers.

As with any release, there are some bugs, but thanks to users reporting in we are getting them fixed! A few known ones are listed below:

Containers:

• Default textures in the menu not accessible (fixed)
• Error on Rez for some users (fixed)
• Turning from drinking from a container not working (fixed)

All containers currently being sold are fixed, but for Ether or Ichor containers purchased prior to noon SL time Saturday the 5th, users must trade them in to get fixed ones. So if you have any of those issues with your container, put it into a folder with your name on it, and pass it to LiquidDesigns Resident. He will get you a replacement.

There were also some HUD issues, listed below. You should not have to get a new HUD, these were server-side issues:

HUDs:

• Scanning having issues with certain people / statuses (fixed)
• HUD Registration errors (fixed)
• Torment and Ascent HUD crates were not inviting to groups, because there were no groups! (fixed, ask a Liaison for an invite)

Website:

This is the big one. The current website does not properly reflect Angel and Demon status changes. We are working on getting the new website up, but that’s going to come in stages over the next week or two. We ask for patience while we work through this transition. Just know that all your stats, metrics, achievements, and royalty ranks are being tracked and are working fine, it’s just the website and profiles which are not going to fully reflect everything until we get the final new website launched. We’ll be keeping the old website up and running until the new one is 100% solid, so any of your non-Angel or Demon activities should be reflecting just fine.

On a side note: the Angel and Demon HUDs do not count towards any achievements at all right now other than Determined. So do not plan on using them for purposes of any previously released achievements; we will release updates as we go.

Once again, thanks for your patience! And thanks to everyone who made the 10th Anniversary Event and this launch a success, we’re grateful and excited to move forward.

Update 5/6/18:

Electrum:

We were made aware that the Electrum potion wasn’t working for the new races, but we have resolved this and it should be working fine now!

Reaper: 

Apparently there was an issue with the Reaper not always working for Angels and Demons. Fixed! No update needed.

Upon release of the Angel and Demon “undo” potions (Brimstone and Holy Water), we also made a small update to the Nightshade and Wolfsbane. We have made it so that when you drink them, that side of your nature is removed, but you are not destroyed for the purposes of Soul ownership. This means you will not lose your souls now, when you drink any of these 4 potions.

Why did we do this? Basically, we recognized that people weren’t losing souls anyway – whenever anyone wanted to change their race, they just moved their souls over to a friend or another account. Also, even if you’re destroying yourself all the way back to Human, being that race does not prohibit you from soul ownership. And finally, since this is a self-administered potion, we trust that even in a role-play sense, nobody would intentionally dump their souls into the Abyss.

So, henceforth, you can drink the Nightshade, Wolfsbane, Holy Water or Brimstone without fear of Abyssing your souls!

** Also: any of these potions you already own will work the new way, no need to by new ones.

We’re excited to announce an official grid-wide Bloodlines Event – The Bloodlines 10th Anniversary Party! It’s been an amazing 10 years, and we’d like to celebrate. In addition, we’ll also be releasing the long awaited Angel and Demon HUDs that day!

In celebration of these two events, we’ll be holding a grid-wide Haunt contest. The theme will be Angels and Demons, however you don’t have to be planning on changing races to enter. Winners could just as easily be Vampire, Human, or Lycan – as long as the Haunt location is themed towards the arrival and welcoming of Angel and Demon races to the Bloodlines world.

Starting April 18th we’ll be connecting participating Haunts up via the website and the HUDs, that you can easily travel from event to event, while discovering new Bloodlines-friendly locations. Mars and Lyle will be visiting participating locations over the next 3 weeks to help with the final judging of the top Haunts, and we hope to see you there!

As usual, for Haunt owners this event means a chance to raise awareness of your clan land, club, bar or RP area. The Anniversary Event will provide an influx of new visitors, as well as give you a chance to network with other Bloodlines friendly locations. Players will be able to vote on their favorite Haunts they visited. On the final day (Friday May 4th) we’ll be having an event on the Bloodlines sims, and we’ll give away the prizes.

Voting will start on April 18th and run up until the party on May 4th. During that time, all you need to do to vote is press the ‘Vote’ link next to the 10-year anniversary icon on the profile of participating haunts.

Prizes:

Anniversary Participation Rares – Given to anyone who opted-in their Haunt to the event. (Limit one set per avatar)

10 Runner-Up Rares (Silver Crown) – Given to the best 10 Haunts

3 Top Haunt Rares (Gold Crown) – Given to the top 3 Haunts. These will also receive a banner on the Bloodlines homepage for a week following the event.

Getting involved is simple:

Location Owners – If you already have a Haunt, just log into your profile, Edit Haunts, and opt-in via the radio button for the 10th Anniversary Event. Make sure to use the Haunt Events calendar to schedule specific times for your events.

Bloodlines players – On April 18th, The 10th Anniversary Event will automatically start generating locations in your HUD, under the Haunt button. We’ll also make it clear on the website which locations are participating, so you should be able to easily find the next great location to visit!

At the end of the week on May 4th from 1-7PM SL, we’ll wrap it up with an official party / awards ceremony on the Bloodlines sims where we’ll deliver all the prizes, and officially release the Angel and Demon races, so be sure to stop by (location will be revealed as we get closer to the date so watch the blog!).
